Susage Buns

This is suppose to be my homework for the classes I attended at Creative Culinary.
The teacher Judy Koh was asking the class to compare this texture to the one we
use in class. My children was enjoying shaping and decorating the buns.
I added cheese to the susages.

Pineapple Tarts

I've been craving for pineapple tarts lately. Every Chinese New Year, I would hunt for Pineapple tarts that meets my criteria, but everytime its either too sweet for my liking or the pastry its too dry.
After searching through the internet I finally found one that doesnt use sugar on the tart.
Proudly present my first trail of pineapple tarts. The only complaint was it crumbles easily and melts in your mouth and down your throat that you could hardly taste the flavour - very "kua zhang" right that was describe from my the other half.

I'm still improvising on the texture, will try again another batch soon.

Creative Culinary Bread Making Lesson 1

19 July 09 at Creative Culinary 1 - 6pm

My very first baking class since secondary school days.

Cheese Twists, Pandan Ampang Red Bean, Chocolate Spirals,
Sausage Rolls & Amond Twists.

Peach Cheesecake

My children's favourite cheesecake. They specify that they would like to have this for my birthday, so my helper made this to satisfy their craving. The greatest gift I have received its the two cards drawn by my children. I was really touched to receive their handmade card and their thoughts written on their card. Its more like at thankyou card to me.

Butter Cookie

Today, I baked Cookies using the disney mould that my collegue got for me from Japan,
cant wait to try them. So as usual I tried out HHB recipe.
I read from many bloggers that its quite difficult to cut out but surprisingly I manage to
mould them without much difficulty. Even my two children have no problem but I need
to help them to carry the moulded pooh and piglet gently over the baking tray. Its like
handling a new born baby ! I guess one of the trick is to place flour on the cutter before stamping on the dough.

Its tastes so great as its crunchy, buttery and melts in the mouth according to my son and husband. Now only a few pieces left.
Next time will bake double portion.

Chocolate Gateau

sMy first attempt of a chocolate cake for my dear father's 72th birthday. This cake is make of love, sweat etc but not blood....hahahaha..Mixed with almond powder and its chocolaty...The looks so so as my piping skills really need alot of practice. It look like "sh**" so I added almond flakes to cover up....
I was so excited that because of this cake, I went all the way to Sunlik - opposite Raffles Hotel to buy most of the ingredients n also the birthday tag.

Everyone says it tastes very good, but most importantly my dad was in all smiles during the whole celebration.

This orchard is a real survivor, has been like this for about a month already, and
its still growing another new stalk.
