Valentines Dinner 2011

Peng Cai 2011

A last minute preparation of the PengCai created by my sister in law. Finally I manage to see the whole process. She dig out all the things available from my freezer. The process is juz to half cook individual ingredients separately (fry or blanch) and lay the ingredients as shown. Lastly cook the seasoning and add it onto the pot. This time round, she use my mushroom sauce for the seasoning..hmmm tastes great !

SKY On 57 (View)

The Sands SkyPark is an architectural masterpiece sitting on top of the three hotel towers at Marina Bay Sands. Located 200 meters above ground, this 1.2 hectare tropical oasis is large enough to park four-and-a-half A380 jumbo jets. Besides exclusive restaurants and bars, it will be home to a spectacular public observation deck, lush greenery and a 150-meter infinity swimming pool.

New Year Shopping 2011

My sister in law's company organised a shopping spree to Woodlands and Defu area for CNY shoppings. I dont expect to get so many things from there and I nearly ran out of cash ! Most of the factories except cash Only. I think we will go there again as the things are really fresh and value for money. I forgot to bring my camera if not I can take a pics of one of the cold room actually a freezer to shop in there ! They even provide a jacket to go in. I didnt wear but regretted cos its real cold, I  juz grab anything I can find and came out. The picture taken were juz 1/4 portion of what I bought. This is a tiring but satisfying trips !

Braised Chicken Noodle And Muah Chee

I used a rice cooker to braised the chicken - a method taught by my mum. According to her the meat will remain tender and will not be break into pieces. I added water and place another smaller pot filled with sauce and meat with egg. I only need to switch on and off twice. It act as a magic pot too. Best off all it saves gas and electricity !

My son has been pestering me to make Muah Chee, he always buys from school canteen at 40cents.
I tried the Muah Chee recipe from Reese Kitchen. I didnt add extra sugar as the ground peanut from Camel Brand was sweet enough. Verdict - It was so good that they polish off the whole plate in less then few minutes !
